Services
Superior Quality Control
- Rescreening is done by cytopathologists or experienced cytotechnologists.
- Retention of previous HPV high-risk results along with Pap smear results for 5 years to insure that all patient Pap smears at high-risk for precancerous conditions are rescreened.
- Reduction of unsatisfactory rate by means of improved recovery of cellular elements from the Thin Prep vial.
- HPV testing which is more sensitive than the Imager in identifying women with both high risk and low risk disease (>90%).
- When a patient with ASCUS is identified and the high risk HPV test is negative, the Pap smear may be correctly categorized as reactive rather than neoplastic.
